Atelophragma harshbergeri Rydb. Bull. Torrey Club 55: 160. 1928.
A perennial; stems decumbent or creeping, 2-3 dm. long, slender, glabrous or nearly so; leaves 4—6 cm. long; stipules ovate or rounded, more or less connate, 2-3 mm. long; leaflets 15-21, linear-lanceolate to oblong, acute, 5-10 mm. long, 1-3 mm. wide, strigulose beneath, glabrous above; peduncles 3-5 cm. long, strigulose; racemes about 3 cm. long; bracts subulate, 3 mm. long; calyx black-hairy, the tube 4—5 mm. long, the teeth lance-subulate, 3 mm. long; corolla cream-colored, 12-14 mm. long; banner obovate, slightly retuse, moderately arcuate; wings a little shorter, the blade oblong; fruit minutely black-strigulose, the stipe about 1 mm. long, the body ellipsoid, abruptly contracted at each end, about 15 mm. long, 7 mm. wide.
Type locality: Salazar, Sierra de las Cruces [State of Mexico?]. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
