Baccharis pilularis (Chaparral Broom) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Western North America, United States, and The Neotropics. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Tharsalea helloides, Hylephila phylaeus, Gray Hairstreak, and Mormon Metalmark. Individuals can grow to 10 feet.
