Hadoa townsendii (formerly Tibicen townsendii; see Hill et al. 2015) found in the southwestern United States, where it is known from Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas (U.S.A.). It occurs in desert desert grasslands], intermountain deserts, and the Chihuahuan Desert and is associated with Yucca. It has been reported from lower desert mountain vegetation associated with soaptree yucca (Yucca elata) in the Chisos Mountains of Texas. Hadoa townsendii resembles H. bifida and H. simplex. The song is a whining buzz. (Sanborn & Phillips 2013; Hill et al. 2015)
