Acanthospermum australe (Paraguayan Starbur) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Cerrado, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pará, GoiáS, Caatinga, China, Mata Atlântica, Pampa, Rio De Janeiro, Paraná, Alagoas, Roraima, Mato Grosso, Piauí, SãO Paulo, Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Maranhao, Amazônia, Bahia, RondôNia, Espirito Santo, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Sergipe, Pantanal, ParaíBa, Ceará, and Tocantins. They have simple, broad leaves.
