Flattened oblong gliding cell, plastic body, short anterior flagellum and a trailing flagellum projecting behind the cell. Single species, from soils. Identity uncertain, but may be a thaumatomastigid (O'K.elly, unpublished obs.). Type species A. diplophysa Sandon 1927.
