Description: Characterized by generally brown color, including median fins, iris pink or red; pinkish hue on head; single lateral-line scale; greatest depth of body 4.2-4.7 in SL (Ref. 90102).

Inhabits inshore reefs (Ref. 7300). Also found among rubble and in crevices, solitary or in loose groups (Ref 90102).
