They are native to Atlantic Ocean, Malta, Serbia, Bulgaria, Monaco, Slovenia, Italy, Western Sahara, Cape Verde, Turkey, Russia, Denmark, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Libya, Morocco, Israel, Galician Shelf, North Atlantic, Lebanon, mediterranean region, Romania, Ireland, Greece, Iberian Coastal, Mauritania, Albania, United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Tunisia, Senegal, Portugal, River Tagus, France, Spain, Algeria, and Syria. They are omnivores. Individuals can grow to 70 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous and iteroparous.
