SL to about 28 mm. Body highly compressed and without scales except on the caudal peduncle on some specimen.

Live among live coral branches (e.g. Pocillopora and Stylophora) (Ref. 1602). Also found in inshore channels in Acropora thickets (Ref. 48637).
