棲地

主要棲息於岩礁或珊瑚礁區,是以捕食小魚、小蝦或其他小型無脊椎動物的日行性魚類。通常單獨行動,喜愛在水流較流動的區域活動。在台灣南部沿近海的礁區偶爾可發現。

Etymology
The fish is named in honor of Hajime Masuda (1921–2005) of the University of Tokyo, who collected the type specimen and co-authored the study in which the fishes description appeared.[4]
