Diodon hystrix (Ajargo) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family porcupinefishes. They are native to Australia, Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Ethiopia, The Nearctic, Atlantic Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 100 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous and iteroparous. They rely on swimming, pectoral fin swimming, and anal and dorsal fin swimming to move around.
