Centroberyx druzhinini (Busakhin 1981)

First infraorbital without spine on anterior end. Lateral line ends in caudal fin base. No fleshy disk on inner face of exposed area of scale. Anterior and posterior nostrils close together, their distance apart shorter than diameter of anterior nostril. Specimens from the Indian Ocean have more gill rakers than specimens from Japan.

分布於印度-西太平洋區，包括西印度洋、日本、新加勒多尼亞及臺灣等海域。臺灣分布於東北部及南部海域。

主要漁法為延繩釣及底拖網，唯產量並不太大。肉質細緻鮮美，甚受歡迎，煎烤煮炸皆宜。

體稍高而側扁，呈長橢圓形。頭大，側扁，具黏液腔，外被以薄膜。吻鈍短。後鼻孔橢圓形。眼頗大；淚骨無棘。口大而斜裂，上頜骨後端不及眼後緣，下頜稍突出；上下頜、鋤骨及腭骨均具絨毛狀齒。體被櫛鱗，腹部中央區鱗片呈稜狀；側線鱗數52-62。背鰭單一，無缺刻，具硬棘V-VII，軟條12-13，背鰭基長於臀鰭基；臀鰭起始於背鰭基底後部，具硬棘IV，軟條15-17；尾鰭深叉，上下葉緣尖形。體及各鰭呈鮮紅色，胸鰭較淡色，腹部略呈銀白，瞳孔黃色。

深水域底層性魚類，棲息深度至少在100-300公尺間，以小型甲殼類及小型魚類為主食。生態習性尚未十分了解。

Centroberyx druzhinini is a member of the family Berycidae found in the Western Indian Ocean and Western Pacific Ocean near Japan and New Caledonia. It can reach sizes of up to 23.0 centimetres (9.1 in) TL and lives at depths between 128 and 200 metres (420 and 656 ft).
