Morfologia

Depredadors

A Nova Zelanda és depredat per Macruronus novaezelandiae.^[5]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes.^[3]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba al sud-oest de l'Atlàntic i a l'Antàrtic.^{[3] [6][7]}

Hintonia candens is a species of lanternfish found circumglobally in the southern oceans. This species grows to a length of 13 centimetres (5.1 in) SL. This species is the only known member of its genus Hintonia.

Hintonia candens is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van lantaarnvissen (Myctophidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1949 door Fraser-Brunner.

犬牙亨灯鱼（学名：Hintonia candens）为輻鰭魚綱燈籠魚目灯笼鱼科的其中一種，分布於南冰洋海域，屬深海魚類，體長可達13公分，幼魚棲息在水深100公尺海域，成魚則生活在水深200公尺的海域。
