Morfologia

• Els mascles poden assolir 7 cm de longitud total.^[4][5]

Depredadors

A Nova Zelanda és depredat per Micromesistius australis i Macruronus novaezelandiae.^[6][7]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes.^[4]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a l'hemisferi sud: oceans Atlàntic, Índic i Pacífic.^{[4][8][9][10][11][12][13]}

Electrona paucirastra, the belted lanternfish, is a lanternfish found around the globe in the southern hemisphere between 35° S and 48° S. It grows to a length of 7.0 centimetres (2.8 in) SL. It is a mesopelagic species, which can be found close to surface at night-time.

Electrona paucirastra^[1]​ es un pez linterna que se encuentra distribuido en casi todos los océanos. Crece hasta una longitud máxima de 7,0 centímetros (2,8 pulgadas). Es una especie mesopelágica, que se encuentra cerca de la superficie durante la noche.^[2]​

Pertenece a la familia Myctophidae.^[3]​

Electrona paucirastra is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van lantaarnvissen (Myctophidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1962 door Bolin.

少耙電灯鱼（学名：Electrona paucirastra）为輻鰭魚綱燈籠魚目灯笼鱼科的其中一種，分布於南半球亞熱帶海域，屬深海魚類，體長可達7公分。
