Smalltooth Dragonfish

Body moderately elongated, slightly compressed. Snout shorter than eye. Jaws slender, gape slightly curved upward. Barbel slender, tapering without a bulb. Velvety dark brown to black (Ref. 37473).

廣泛分布於印度-太平洋及大西洋海域之中層洋帶。台灣記錄深度355-365公尺。

胸鰭條數：4-5; 腹鰭條數：6-7; 背鰭軟條數：22; 臀鰭軟條數：25; 發光器排列：BR 14, IP 8(1, 2, 3, 2), PV 16, VAV 14, AC 9-10, IC 39-40, OA 26-29; 下頷鬚簡單細長，末端未形成膨大狀，長度約等於頭長。前上頷齒、下頷齒及下頷齒數皆為10。體色：暗褐色或黑褐色，新鮮標本之眼前發光器及眼下發光器為紅色，下頷鬚淺色或透明。
