It dwells at a depth range of 165–935 metres. Males can reach a maximum total length of 100 centimetres.[4]

Bathycongrus varidens is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van zeepalingen (Congridae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1899 door Garman.
