Carcharias taurus (Grey Nurse Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family sand tigers. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN. They are native to Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 330 cm. Reproduction is ovoviviparous and iteroparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming to move around.
