Morphology

Umbrella half-spherical in shape. Gonads are straight or have 3-4 curves on each side, are located along the radial canals at 2/3 to 4/5 of their length. The edge of the umbrella carries 36-48 tentacles and whiskers, which are placed between each pair of tentacles in groups of 5-9. 16 statocysts, each one carries 20-30 concretions.
