They are native to Denmark, Iceland, Mauritania, Germany, Atlantic Ocean, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Morocco, Spain, Western Sahara, France, Pacific Ocean, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Norway. They are regenerators. Individuals can grow to 73 mm. They rely on drag powered swimming to move around.
