Pelmatoplana

Pelmatoplana ist eine Gattung der Landplanarien im Tribus Pelmatoplanini.

Merkmale

Landplanarien der Gattung Pelmatoplana haben eine schwache kutane Längsmuskulatur. Die paranchymale Muskulatur ist stark und bildet eine Ringzone um das Intestinum. Zum Kopulationsapparat gehört eine gut entwickelte konische Penispapille. Dem weiblichen Atrium genitale fehlt eine Bursa, stattdessen mündet ein weiblicher Kanal in das Atrium. Ein Urogenitalkanal, der den weiblichen Geschlechtskanal mit dem Intestinum verbindet, kann vorhanden sein.^[1]

Pelmatoplana is a genus of land planarians in the tribe Pelmatoplanini.

Description

The genus Pelmatoplana includes planarians with weak cutaneous longitudinal musculature and strong parenchymal musculature forming a ring zone. The copulatory apparatus has a well-developed conical penis papilla and the female atrium lacks a seminal bursa, having only the female canal entering it. A genito-intestinal duct may be present connecting the female canal to the intestine.^[1]
