Asaphis violascens (Forsskål ex Niebuhr 1775)

Asaphis violascens (Pacific Asaphis) is a species of mussels in the family Psammobiidae. They are native to Seychelles, Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone, Mascarene Islands, Zululand, and Tanzania. Individuals can grow to 11 cm. They have sexual reproduction.
