Mendicula ferruginosa is a species of mussels in the family Thyasiridae. Dead Mendicula ferruginosa form shallow marine sediments. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 4.4 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile animals.
