Argopecten purpuratus (Peruvian Scallop) is a species of mussels in the family scallops. Dead Peruvian Scallop form shallow marine sediments. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 96.8 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile burrowers.
