Aequipecten tehuelchus (d'Orbigny 1842)

Aequipecten tehuelchus is a species of mussels in the family scallops. Dead Aequipecten tehuelchus form shallow marine sediments. They are surficial modifiers. Individuals can grow to 88 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile burrowers.
