Corambe steinbergae (Lance 1962)

Corambe steinbergae is a species of sea slug, an Eastern Pacific Ocean nudibranch, a marine, opisthobranch gastropod mollusk in the family Corambidae.^{[1] [2]}

This species feeds on bryozoans.^[3]

Distribution

This marine species occurs in the Northeastern Pacific from Alaska to Baja California, Mexico.^[2]

Corambe steinbergae (Lance, 1962) è un mollusco nudibranchio della famiglia Corambidae.^[1]

L'epiteto specifico è un omaggio alla malacologa statunitense Joan Emily Steinberg (1932 - ).

Biologia

È entrata in competizione con il nudibranco Corambe pacifica, dedicandosi entrambe alla predazione esclusiva del briozoo Membranipora membranacea^[2].

Distribuzione e habitat

Molto diffusa nelle località marine costiere della costa ovest degli Stati Uniti d'America, dall'Alaska al Messico, in particolar modo quelle della California.
