Passer domesticus (House Sparrow) is a species of birds in the family Old World sparrows. They are native to India, Russia, Northern Africa, Scandinavia, Ethiopia, Myanmar, the Palearctic, Middle East, Africa, Europe, and United Kingdom. They visit flowers of Japanese flowering cherry, Guelder Rose, and true grasses. They are diurnal omnivores. They have parental care (female provides care, paternal care, and cooperative breeding). They rely on flight to move around.
