Tringa stagnatilis (Marsh Sandpiper) is a species of birds in the family Scolopacidae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are found in Afrotropics, australasia, the palearctic, the indo-malayan realm, and Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands). They are diurnal. Individuals can grow to 59 cm.
