Acanthastrea echinata (Starry Cup Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Lobophylliidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Starry Cup Coral form shallow marine sediments. Starry Cup Coral form marine reefs. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
