Schizocyathus Pourtalès 1874

Schizocyathus is a genus of cnidarians in the family Schizocyathidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Schizocyathus form shallow marine sediments. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
