Mycedium elephantotus (Brown Plating Hard Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Brown Plating Hard Coral form shallow marine sediments. Brown Plating Hard Coral form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 430 µm. They have asexual reproduction, sexual reproduction, and alternation of generations; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
