Colonies are encrusting with broad laminar margins sometimes forming tiers or whorls. Corallites are arranged in rows between reticulum ridges which are conspicuous and usually perpendicular to the corallum margin. Colour: usually cream, pink or brown. Abundance: Very common, especially on protected upper reef slopes (Veron, 1986).
