Montipora effusa is a species of cnidarians in the family staghorn corals. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Montipora effusa form shallow marine sediments. Montipora effusa form marine reefs. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
