Caespitose, 9-13 cm. high. Stipules ovate, scarious; pinnae 5-7, approximate, 1-2 cm. long; leaflets 4-7 pairs, oblong, obtuse, appressedpubescent, 5-7 mm. long; inflorescence longer than the leaves, few-flowered; pedicels 2-6 mm. long; calyx-lobes narrowly oblonglanceolate, pubescent, about 8 mm. long; petals 8-12 mm. long, tapering into a short claw; stamens about as long as the petals; legume puberulent, 2-3.5 cm. long, 1-1.5 cm. broad, scarcely oblique, strongly irregularly transversely veined.
