Mimosa pudica (Sensitive Plant) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Panama, Guatemala, Ecuador, Colombia, Honduras, Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, U.S. Virgin Islands, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico. They have compound, broad leaves and achene. Flowers are visited by American Bumblebee, Exomalopsis, and Oil-collecting bee. Individuals can grow to 1.6 m.
