Ranunculus abortivus (Littleleaf Buttercup) is a species of biennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They are native to Canada, Alaska, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, and The Contiguous United States. They have yellow flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Bibio pallipes, Epeolus pusillus, Nine-spotted Lady Beetle, and Cheilosia hoodiana. Individuals can grow to 2.8 feet.
