Melampodium divaricatum (Boton De Oro) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), RondôNia, Santa Catarina, Rio De Janeiro, ParaíBa, Pernambuco, The Contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Bahia, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, Mata Atlântica, Roraima, Maranhao, and The Neotropics. Flowers are visited by Red-lined Scrub-Hairstreak, Syrphid fly, Zebra Longwing, and Anthanassa tulcis.
