Symphyotrichum shortii (Short's Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and The Americas. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Northern Paper Wasp, Helophilus fasciatus, Toxomerus geminatus, and Common Eastern Bumblebee.
