Sciurus carolinensis (Eastern Gray Squirrel) is a species of rodents in the family Sciuridae. They are native to The Nearctic, United States, and Canada. They visit flowers of Black Birch, Japanese Tree Lilac, sugar maple, and Crab Apple. They are solitary, diurnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 288 months and can grow to 253.48 mm. They have parental care (female provides care).
