Geranium schiedeanum Schlecht. Ljnnaea 10 : 253. 1836 Perennial, the caudex branched. Stems several together, not scape-like, 2-4 dm. long, hirsute, the first internode little if at all longer than the succeeding ones ; leaf-blades angular in outline, 1.5-4 mm. broad, 3-5-parted, the divisions parted into linear lobes, which are closely pubescent with silvery white hairs beneath, green above; petioles relatively short, hirsute ; sepals awn-tipped, the outer ones 7-9 mm. long, the bodies oblong or oblong-lanceolate, hirsute, ciliate ; petals pink-purple, 11-15 mm. long; style-column 1S-23 mm. long, finely hirsute ; carpel-bodies about 4 mm. long, pubescent ; seeds reticulate.
Type locality : I.a Joya, Mexico. Distribution : Mexico.

Geranium pedatifidum Hanks, sp. nov Perennial, the caudex branched. Stems several, 1-5 dm. long, more or less branched, sparingly retrorse-pubescent leaf-blades somewhat angled, closely hirsute beneath, 3-5parted, the main divisions 2-pinnatifid, the segments often cleft or toothed ; peduncles slender, greatly elongate, often between 15 and 20 cm. long, each bearing 2 pedicels ; pedicels retrorsely pubescent ; sepals awn-tipped, the outer ones 9-11 mm. long, the bodies oblong or oblong-lanceolate, ciliate ; petals purple, 12-16 mm. long; style-column hirsute ; carpel-bodies densely pubescent ; seeds not seen.

Geranium palmeri Rose, sp. nov Perennial, the eaudex usually simple. Stem erect or ascending, 3-4 dm. long, finely pubescent with short curved hairs ; leaf-blades triangular or somewhat pentagonal in outline, 2-4 cm. wide, with scattered hairs above, sparingly short-hirsute on the veins beneath, mainly 3-parted, the divisions 1-pinnatifid; pedicels rather long, mostly 3-5 cm. long after anthesis, finely and often closely pubescent with short crisped hairs ; sepals awn-tipped, the outer ones 8-9 mm. long, copioush' fine-hirsute near the margins and minutely pubescent between the ribs, the inner ones mostly broader than the outer, with broad scarious ciliolate margins; petals purple, 13-15 mm. long; style-colnmn 14-17 mm. long, pubescent
with ascending hairs; carpel-bodies about 4 mm. long, hirsute; seeds nearly smooth.
