Largest and most scaled Stenogobius; scales in horizontal series 52 to 62; cheek scaled; opercle scaled; predorsal midline 22 to 32 scales; belly anteriorly scaled; breast scaled; markings and patterns over body vary from one drainage to next; specimens retain juvenile markings to relatively large size with sexual papilla not developed though distinguishable (Ref. 34009).
