From the Kimberley region in Western Australia through northern Northern Territory and into northern Queensland.The extent of occurrence of the species is approximately 922600 km2

Ranges from dry, open forest to the periphery of floodplains and temporarily flooded grasslands.Males call from November to March from the edge of water. About 50 � 350 eggs are laid on the surface of water in temporary pools. Tadpoles develop in 8 � 10 weeks.

The pale frog (Litoria pallida) is a species of frog in the subfamily Pelodryadinae, endemic to Australia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, and intermittent freshwater marshes.
