Leptispa er en slekt av biller som tilhører familiegruppen bladbiller (Chrysomelidae). Både larvene og de voksne (imago) er planteetere.
Nokså små (5-7 millimeter), lange og slanke, flate, mørke bladbiller, gjerne med metallisk glans. Hodet er lite mne godt synlig ovenfra, antennene forholdsvis korte. Kroppsformen er jevnbred. Antennene er 11-leddete og nokså korte. Pronotum er avrundet firkantet, gjerne kraftig punktert, dekkvingene har 10 punktrader. Beina er nokså korte.
Både larver og voksne lever på planter i gressfamilien eller sivfamilien og eter fra dem. Noen av artene er regnet som skadedyr på ris [1] der de bygger seg hus ved å krølle sammen bladene.
Gruppen er utbredt i varme områder av den Gamle verden. I Europa forekommer Leptispa filiformis i den sørlige delen [2].
