Oceanospirillales sind eine Ordnung der Proteobacteria. Wie alle Proteobacteria sind die dazugehörigen Arten gramnegativ. Der Stoffwechsel ist chemoorganotroph, das heißt für die Energiegewinnung werden organische Stoffe abgebaut, wie es bei allen Tieren und dem Menschen der Fall ist. Einige Arten sind in der Lage Erdöl abzubauen, was sie für den Abbau von Ölverschmutzungen interessant macht.

Erscheinungsbild

Die Bakterien sind meist durch Büschel von Flagellen oder einzelne Flagellen beweglich (motil). So besitzen Arten von Oceanospirillum in der Regel an beiden Zellenden Geißelbüschel, sie sind polytrich bipolar (amphitrich) begeißelt. Die Art Balneatrix alpica, jetzt zu den Balneatrichaceae gestellt, ist mit ein bis zwei Geißeln polar begeißelt. Zu den Mitgliedern, die keine Geißeln tragen, zählt zum Beispiel Carnimonas (Halomonadaceae). Die Mehrzahl der Arten sind stäbchenförmig, die Zellform von Oceanospirillum ist spiralförmig (helikal).

Ökologie

Einige Arten tolerieren Mangel bis vollkommen Ausschluss von Sauerstoff; sie sind fakultativ aerob. Die meisten sind auf Sauerstoff angewiesen (obligat aerob); auch auf geringe Sauerstoffkonzentrationen spezialisierte Arten (mikroaerobe Arten) sind vorhanden. Hierzu zählt z. B. die marine Art Marinospirillum megaterium der Familie Oceanospirillacae. Viele Arten der Ordnung sind halotolerant bis halophil, sie können also in Umgebungen mit hohen Salzkonzentrationen leben oder sind gar auf hohe Konzentrationen angewiesen (halophil).

Das stäbchenförmige Bakterium Alcanivorax borkumensis ist in der Lage, langkettige Alkanverbindungen abzubauen, wie sie z. B. im Erdöl vorkommen. Dem entsprechend kommt es verstärkt in mit Öl verschmutzter Umwelt vor. Es zählt somit zu den hydrocarbonoklastischen Bakterien und ist von Bedeutung für biotechnologischen Abbau von Ölverschmutzungen. Es wurde im Jahr 1998 erstbeschrieben und wird nun der Familie der Alcanivoracaceae zugeordnet. Die Art Oleibacter marinus ist ebenfalls zum Abbau von Alkanketten fähig, was das Bakterium für die Beseitigung von Erdölverschmutzungen im tropischen Meer interessant macht. Oleibacter zählt zu der Familie der Oceanospirillaceae. Die kälteliebende Art Oleispira antarctica sowie die Art Thalassolituus oleivorans können ebenfalls langkettige Alkane nutzen. Oleispira und Thalassolituus werden den Oceanospirillaceae zugeordnet.

The Oceanospirillales are an order of Pseudomonadota with ten families.[2]

Description

Bacteria in the Oceanospirillales are metabolically and morphologically diverse, with some able to grow in the presence of oxygen and others requiring an anaerobic environment.[3] Members of the Oceanospirillales can be halotolerant or halophilic and require high salt concentrations to grow.[3] While they grow in diverse niches, all Oceanospirillales derive their energy from the breakdown of various organic products. Bacteria in the Oceanospirillales are motile except for those in the genus Alcanivorax.[3] Bacteria in the Oceanospirillales include hydrocarbon-degrading groups such as Oleispira antarctica, Thalassolituus oleivorans, and Oleiphilus messinensis , which were found in the indigenous microbial community in deep waters after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010. [4] They are also common members of bacterial communities in the water column of the hadal zone of ocean trenches. [5]

History

The order Oceanospirillales was first described in 2005 in the second edition of Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology, consisting of six families and with the type genus of Oceanospirillum.[6] In 2007, a seventh family was added with the identification of Litoricola lipolytica and the creation of its family Litoricolaceae.[2][7]

Deskripsi

Oceanospirillales merupakan ordo yang beraneka ragam jika dilihat dari sisi morfologi dan metabolismenya. Beberapa dapat tumbuh di tengah-tengah oksigen, sementara yang lain membutuhkan lingkungan yang anaerob.[2] Most Oceanospirillales are prefer or require high salt concentrations to grow.[2] Mereka ada di berbagai macam relung, tetapi Oceanospirillales memperoleh energi dengan mengolah berbagai produk organik. Semua bakteri Oceanospirillales bersifat motil kecuali untuk anggota genus Alcanivorax.[2]

Sejarah

Ordo Oceanospirillales pertama kali dideskripsikan pada tahun 2005 dalam edisi kedua Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology. Di dalam deskripsi tersebut, terdapat enam famili, sementara genus tipenya adalah Oceanospirillum.[3] Pada tahun 2007, famili ketujuh yang bernama Litoricolaceae ditambahkan setelah ditemukannya spesies Litoricola lipolytica.[1][4]

オケアノスピリルム(Oceanospirillales)はプロテオバクテリア門に属する細菌からなる分類群であり、7からなる。タイプ指定はOceanospirillum。これは海洋を意味するオーケアノスΩκεανόςと、らせん菌を意味するspirillumを合成したもので、海洋のらせん菌といった意味を帯びる。ただし、これはOceanospirillumに対して与えられたもので、オケアノスピリルム目全体の特徴としては、主に海洋という点は合致するものの、必ずしもらせん菌というわけではない。

高耐久生物の多いハロモナス科、海洋細菌の多いオケアノスピリルム科が比較的知られている。

アメリカ合衆国ローレンス・バークレー国立研究所の研究グループが、2010年5月25日から6月2日にかけてメキシコ湾の深海底17か所で採取された試料からオケアノスピリルム目に属する新を発見し、同年8月24日の科学誌サイエンス(電子版)に発表した。水温が摂氏5度の冷水環境でも、効率良く原油を分解しているという[1]
