Helarctos malayanus (Sun Bear) is a species of mammals in the family bears. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are native to Asia. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 297.6 months and can grow to 1220.79 mm. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on running to move around.
