Varecia variegata (Black And White Ruffed Lemur) is a species of primates in the family true lemurs. They are listed as critically endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are native to Ethiopia. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 384 months and can grow to 1219 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care).
