Ateles chamek (Black Faced Black Spider Monkey) is a species of primates in the family atelid monkeys. They are listed as endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They are found in The Neotropics. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals can grow to 1400 mm.
