Leontopithecus chrysomelas (Golden Headed Lion Tamarin) is a species of primates in the family Callitrichidae. They are listed as endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are native to The Neotropics. They visit flowers of Symphonia globulifera. They are diurnal omnivores. Individuals can grow to 645 mm. They have parental care (paternal care and female provides care).
