Potentilla (Cinquefoil) is a genus of herb in the family Rosaceae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Alaska, Canada, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Greenland, The Contiguous United States, and Western North America. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Spilogona, mosquito, Sphaerophoria contigua, and False Chinch Bug. Individuals can grow to 0.5 m.
