Euphrosine monroi is a circumantarctic marine polychaete worm, one of about 70 species inthe family Euphrosinidae. It occurs at water depths between 45–1120 m (150-3675 feet). The body of the worm consists of a head, a cylindrical, segmented body and a tail piece. The head consists of a prostomium (part of the mouth) and a peristomium (area around the mouth) and carries paired appendages (palps, antennae and cirri).

Euphrosine monroi was first scientifically described in 1993 by Kudenov.

Borda and Kudenov (2013) describe two characteristic features of this species:
• presence of large suprafascicular ringent notochaetae, little modified beyond typical bifurcate chaetae in form (in addition to category IIA ringent notochaetae normally present),

• stout branchiae that divide dichotomously two times and have relatively long trunks and branches compared to the compact clusters of terminal processes.
