Test an elongate, convoluted branching tube, 0.7 mm to 5.0 mm in length, may have occasional knot-like swellings, tapering or clavate at the ends, attached by tough and rigid filaments to the interior of empty foraminiferal tests; wall a resistant proteinaceous sheath with concentric constrictions; single large nucleus, about 87 µm to 138 µmin diameter.
