Annual herb. Stem 4-angled, erect, hispid-scabrid, up to c. 18 cm high with a few short branches arising from leaf axils. Leaves along the stem mostly opposite linear-oblong, 25-45 mm long; basal leaves densely clustered, oblong-ovate, 20-45 mm long, 2-3-veined, mucronate at the apex. Inflorescences spikes immature in recorded specimen 10-12 mm long, ovoid. Bracts lanceolate 4-5 mm long, hispid-scabrid. Calyx c. 8.5 mm long, 9-10-veined, 5-lobed, hispid-scabrid. Corolla with tube c. 9 mm long and lobes c. 3 × 2.5 mm, obovate. Flower colour and capsule not known.

Very rare.
